This extension runs entirely on your own device. It collects no personal information, sends nothing to any server, and uses no third parties. There is no account and no sign-in.

What the extension does

YouTube Playlist Search adds a search bar to your YouTube playlist page so you can find a video by its title or channel name without scrolling. That is its only purpose.

What it reads, and where it stays

• To power the search, it reads the video titles and channel names already shown on the YouTube playlist page you are viewing.
• It keeps a copy of that list in your browser's local storage on your own device, so the search stays fast. This never leaves your computer.
• That is the only data it touches. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, or anything outside the YouTube page you are on.

What it never does

• It never sends your data anywhere. There is no server, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
• It never sees your YouTube password, cookies, or login, and it never modifies your playlists or anything else on YouTube.
• It never sells, shares, or transfers your data to anyone, because it never collects it in the first place.
• It only runs on youtube.com and nowhere else.

The permissions it asks for

• storage: to keep the searchable list of your current playlist on your device so the search bar works.
• activeTab: to add the search bar to the YouTube tab you are using when you open the extension.
• youtube.com access: the search bar only appears on YouTube, so that is the only site the extension is allowed to run on.

Deleting your data

There is nothing stored off your device, so there is nothing on our side to delete. Removing the extension, or clearing your browser's site data, erases the local playlist cache it kept.
